Privacy Policy
Effective June 29, 2026. MumRadio is designed as an Android push-to-talk radio client for user-configured Mumble servers. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information with MumRadio.
MumRadio does not include analytics, advertising trackers, crash-reporting services, telemetry, or a remote data-collection service operated by MumRadio.
The app has no built-in way to send information, logs, diagnostics, recordings, server settings, certificates, or account details to MumRadio.
To connect to a Mumble server, users may save server details such as host, port, username, password, selected channel, cached channel list, and pinned server certificate fingerprint on their own device.
This information is used locally by the app to connect to the servers the user configures. MumRadio does not receive a copy of it.
Debug information is created only for local diagnostics. A user must manually retrieve and send debug information outside the app if they want help troubleshooting.
MumRadio does not provide an in-app upload, submit, or automatic-send feature for diagnostics. There is no server endpoint in the app for collecting debug logs from users.
Microphone access is needed for push-to-talk. The app uses the microphone while PTT is active so it can transmit audio to the user-selected Mumble server. Server audio is played back on the device when the user is listening.
If recording features are enabled, recordings are stored in app storage or in a folder selected by the user. MumRadio does not collect recordings.
MumRadio creates a client certificate on the device before connecting to a server. Private key material is encrypted at rest with AndroidKeyStore-backed protection.
Saved server passwords are encrypted before being stored in app preferences. Server TLS certificates use trust-on-first-use fingerprint pinning so later connections can detect unexpected certificate changes.
Nearby devices and Bluetooth permissions are needed for hardware push-to-talk controls, including Bluetooth SPP command handling where configured by the user.
Notifications are needed so MumRadio can keep running as a foreground service in the background during radio operation. Foreground service, wake lock, vibration, and battery optimization permissions support alerts and long-running audio behavior on Android.
The app connects only to Mumble servers selected by the user. Those servers are operated by their respective owners and may have their own policies, logs, access controls, or retention practices.
MumRadio cannot control how a user-selected Mumble server handles account, connection, channel, or voice traffic.
If a user chooses to request support, they decide what information to include. Users should review diagnostics before sharing them and remove anything they do not want to disclose.
This policy may be updated as the app changes, especially if future versions add new optional services or distribution channels.
